Empowering You to Overcome Your Challenges
As a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of California, I specialize in providing psychotherapy services to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, as well as pregnancy-, postpartum-, and parenting-related issues. My approach is collaborative and centered on understanding your individual strengths, struggles, and goals.
What is Psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is a process that aims to help you understand your emotions, gain better control over them, and improve your overall experience of life. It can help you change unhealthy behaviors, relieve emotional distress, and improve your role in relationships. With psychotherapy, you can learn to cope with stressors and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
My Therapeutic Approach
My approach to working with clients is based on a strength-based model, where I focus on respecting your individual strengths, struggles, and goals. I incorporate various techniques and theories, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, family systems, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Functional Family Therapy (FFT) to tailor a treatment plan that meets your specific needs.
About My Background
I have several years of experience providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy to diverse populations. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in San Francisco. I completed my predoctoral internship at a community mental health clinic in Southern California, where I worked with children, adolescents, and families to address issues including family discord, early childhood attachment, and adjustment to changes in the family.

Unprofessional Behavior
The reviewer had a poor experience with Ms. Deana Wong, a PsyD at Kaiser. The crisis in the family led them to reach out to Kaiser, and they were connected with Ms. Wong. However, after a few minutes of conversation, Ms. Wong asked what she could do for them, which was deemed insensitive and untimely. When the reviewer expressed their discontent, Ms. Wong became defensive, which was seen as unprofessional.
Lack of Follow-up
To make matters worse, the phone call was disconnected, and since the reviewer did not have Ms. Wong's number, they were unable to call back immediately. Moreover, Ms. Wong never bothered to call them back, further demonstrating her unprofessionalism and lack of concern for her clients.
Overall Dissatisfaction
The reviewer's experience with Ms. Deana Wong was extremely disappointing, and they question her ability to provide adequate support and care.
