At Advocatus Counseling, LLC, our mission is to provide professional, evidence-based psychotherapy to address individual, couples, and family concerns. Our founder, Ben Ayantola, is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with extensive experience in behavioral health. He has worked with a diverse population of individuals, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, in various treatment settings.

About Ben

Ben Ayantola, the founder and manager of Advocatus Counseling, LLC, is a passionate professional dedicated to providing counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. He has a strong background in behavioral health, with experience working with adults with mental illness within the vocational rehabilitation setting. Ben's multicultural upbringing, with exposure to Deaf culture, Hearing culture, and African-American culture, has given him a unique perspective and ability to communicate without bias or preconceived notions.

Ben holds a Master's degree in Professional Counseling: Mental Health and Rehabilitation from Central Connecticut State University and is certified in evidence-based interventions, including Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Affect Regulation: Guide for Education and Therapy (TARGET), and Motivational Enhancement Therapy/Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MET/CBT).

Counseling Services & Fees

At Advocatus Counseling, LLC, we offer a range of counseling services, including:

  • Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT): A form of psychotherapy that focuses on addressing the relationship between emotions, thoughts, and behaviors.
  • Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT): A form of CBT that addresses the specific emotional and mental health needs of individuals struggling to overcome the effects of traumatic experiences.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT-informed): A form of psychotherapy that focuses on providing therapeutic skills in four key areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Solution-Focused Therapy: A form of psychotherapy that concentrates on finding solutions in the present time and exploring one's hope for the future.
  • Family Systems Therapy: A form of psychotherapy that helps individuals resolve their problems in the context of their family units.

Tele-Mental Health Services

We also offer individual, outpatient therapy through a HIPAA-secure platform via video conferencing, Arizona Board-Approved Clinical Supervision, and clinical supervision toward licensure for LAC, LAMFT, and LMSW individuals.

Fees

  • Initial Intake -$230.00 (approx. 75-90 minutes)
  • Individual Therapy Session - $150.00 (45-50 minutes)
  • Individual Therapy Session - $170.00 (60 minutes)
  • Couples Therapy Session - $185.00 (50 minutes)
  • Family Therapy Session - $200.00 (50 minutes)
  • Missed Appointment Fee with less than 24 hours notice - Cost of the Session
