Caring Effective Affordable Individuals Couples Adults Teens
New Perspectives Center for Counseling (NPCC) is a non-profit organization that has been providing caring, affordable, and effective psychotherapy and relationship counseling to individuals, couples, and families in the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout California since 1993. Our dedicated team of therapists offers a safe space for clients to navigate their ever-changing world, addressing a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, coping with illness, ADHD, grief, stage of life changes, couples and relationship issues, gender identity, and sexuality concerns.
At NPCC, we believe that everyone deserves access to quality mental health services regardless of their financial situation. That's why we offer a need-based sliding scale fee to help make weekly therapy sessions affordable. We also accept Medi-Cal with no co-payment. Our experienced therapists are trained in various therapeutic modalities including solution-focused, depth-oriented, cognitive, mindfulness, and somatic approaches. They are committed to providing holistic, trauma-informed care that integrates traditional insight-oriented therapy with skills-based orientations such as CBT and DBT, as well as body-centered and symbolic work.
Our team is passionate about fostering a learning community that supports both our clients and our therapists. We believe that all therapists must continue to self-reflect and grow throughout their careers, which is why we prioritize ongoing education and training for our staff. This ensures that our clients receive the most effective and compassionate care possible.
In addition to individual and couples therapy, NPCC offers a DBT Skills Group that meets weekly. This group is designed for individuals who demonstrate financial need based on income and is currently accepting participants from a waitlist. We also provide training programs for therapists and mental health professionals who want to enhance their skills in DBT and other therapeutic approaches.
At NPCC, we understand that seeking therapy can be a challenging step, but we are here to support you every step of the way. Whether you're dealing with personal struggles, relationship issues, or simply looking for a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings, we are committed to helping you navigate life's challenges with compassion, understanding, and expertise.
