Empowering individuals to live a more fulfilling and authentic life

Nurture Family Counseling is a full-service counseling practice dedicated to serving the mental health needs of individuals, couples, and families in the American English-speaking community. Our team of skilled and experienced therapists is committed to providing compassionate guidance, fostering personal growth, and promoting overall well-being. Through individual and couples therapy, pre-teen and adolescent therapy, as well as play therapy with children, we strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where clients can overcome life's challenges and build a more fulfilling future.

Individual & Couples Therapy

At Nurture Family Counseling, we believe that therapy is a collaborative process between you and your therapist. During weekly sessions, we work together to explore your hopes for the counseling process, identify areas you would like to change, and build the tools needed to facilitate that change. Our experienced therapists are trained to work with a diverse range of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. We are dedicated to helping you make sense of your experiences, set attainable goals, and navigate your path toward a more satisfying and fulfilling life.

Pre-teens & Adolescents

Adolescence is a critical period of development and transformation, often accompanied by unique challenges and emotional turmoil. Our trained therapists specialize in pre-teen and adolescent therapy, offering a safe and supportive space for young individuals to navigate the complexities of their ever-changing worlds. Through a variety of therapeutic approaches, we address the specific needs and concerns of pre-teens and adolescents, empowering them with the skills and resilience to cultivate healthy relationships, manage stress, and build self-confidence.

Play Therapy with Children

Play therapy is an evidence-based, developmentally appropriate therapy designed specifically for children. At Nurture Family Counseling, our therapists utilize play therapy as a powerful tool to help children engage in therapy, communicate feelings, express needs, and ultimately resolve challenges. As a best practice for children, play therapy promotes emotional healing, fosters self-expression, enhances social and cognitive skills, and encourages personal growth. Our team of Registered Play Therapists (RPTs) and therapists-in-training are dedicated to providing quality mental healthcare that is tailored to the unique developmental needs of each child.

Meet Our Counselors

Our team of skilled and experienced therapists hold various licenses and credentials, including Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), and Registered Play Therapists (RPT). At Nurture Family Counseling, we value the importance of matching our clients with a therapist who best suits their unique needs, concerns, and personalities. With this in mind, we have carefully curated a diverse team of specialists with a variety of backgrounds, experience levels, and areas of expertise. Together, we offer comprehensive services from a wide range of perspectives, ensuring compassionate guidance for every person who seeks support at our practice.

How Therapy Works

At Nurture Family Counseling, we believe that therapy is a collaborative process between you and your therapist. During weekly sessions, we work together to understand your experiences, identify areas for change, and develop the tools needed to facilitate that change. We are committed to making sense of your unique journey, setting attainable goals, and supporting you every step of the way.

In addition to our therapy services, we are dedicated to creating a counseling environment that is safe, inclusive, and empowering for all. We recognize the impact of oppression on those seeking mental health support, and we pledge to be open to conversation, challenge, and correction. Through continuous education, reflection, and self-exploration, we strive to create a counseling environment that fosters safety, trust, and growth for everyone.
