As a non-profit community counseling center and training institute, we have been serving the San Francisco Bay Area community for over 40 years. Our mission is to provide high-quality, heart-centered, affordable, and accessible psychotherapy to our diverse communities.

Our Story

The Marina Counseling Center has a rich history of providing low-cost, sliding scale therapy to the community since 1982. We have supported thousands of clients and hundreds of budding therapists with our integrative and holistic training program. Our commitment to diversity, equity, and belonging guides everything we do. We recognize the systemic racism and privilege that affect our communities and are committed to doing the work to challenge these issues.

Our Services

We offer a range of counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and children. Our skilled counselors are able to address a variety of issues, including relationship and intimacy issues, personal and spiritual growth, LGBTQ+ issues, grief and loss, addiction, depression, eating disorders, low self-esteem, anxiety, life transitions, emotional stress, trauma, and abuse. We welcome people of all ages, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identifications.
