Welcome to Fairwinds-Nantucket's Behavioral Health Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing confidential, quality professional care to adults and youth on Nantucket who seek mental health and addiction services. Our mission is to ensure that all individuals, regardless of their ability to pay, have access to comprehensive mental health services.

Our Story

Established with the goal of bridging the gap in mental health services on Nantucket Island, Fairwinds has been a beacon of hope for those seeking professional care and support. Over the years, we have grown into a full-service mental health clinic, offering a range of services including therapy and counseling, addiction treatment and recovery, comprehensive medication management, urgent behavioral healthcare, psychological and developmental assessment and testing, children's behavioral health initiatives, court-mandated services, and emergency services.

Services

At Fairwinds, we understand that every individual's mental health journey is unique, which is why we offer a variety of services tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. These services include:

• Therapy & Counseling Programs: We provide a variety of therapy and counseling services for individuals, couples, and families. All therapy is confidential, judgement-free, and provided in a safe and supportive environment.

• Addiction Treatment and Recovery: Our treatment plan not only helps ease the physical and mental symptoms of addiction, but also provides patients with an ongoing recovery plan to maintain lifelong sobriety.

• Comprehensive Medication Management: Our staff psychiatrist can prescribe and manage medication for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. In addition, our developmental pediatrician can manage medications for children and youth.

• Urgent Behavioral Healthcare Clinic (UBHC): Our urgent care clinic provides immediate mental health services for individuals in crisis.

• Psychological and Developmental Assessment and Testing: Our team of qualified professionals offers comprehensive psychological assessments to diagnose issues such as ADHD, learning disabilities, and other cognitive issues.

• Children Behavioral Health Initiatives (CBHI): We offer specialized services for children and youth, including therapy, counseling, and developmental assessments.

• Court Mandated Services: We provide court-mandated services for individuals required to undergo mental health treatment by the legal system.

• Emergency Services: In the event of a mental health emergency, our staff is available 24/7 to provide immediate support and care.

Through ongoing assessments and surveys, we strive to identify gaps in services and develop targeted programs to address these needs.
