Business Details
We provide private, confidential support when it matters most for individuals navigating high-conflict relationships and divorce. Our work is rooted in 26 years of clinical practice, consulting, and the development of relational models for recovery. We are led by Debra Alper, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker, divorce consultant, and relational strategist. Our approach brings together clinical insight, strategic guidance, and The ISLAND Method to help clients understand their patterns. We specialize in high-conflict relationships, emotional abuse, coercive control, attachment wounds, and divorce process work. Our services include therapy, divorce consulting, relational strategy, and preparation for evaluations and legal proceedings.
We help clients name and frame their experience so it lands clearly with evaluators and Guardian ad Litems. We support people through the full range of relational difficulty, from abusive dynamics to complicated grief after separation. Our guidance is designed to keep clients grounded and making clear decisions under enormous pressure. We assist with coparenting, uncoupling, and rebuilding after a relationship has taken the ground out from under them. Our forthcoming book, Undertow: The ISLAND Method for Recovering from Love Addiction, is built around the idea that recovery is a map you learn to read.
