Our goal is to support the development of greater self-awareness and a clear, healthy, internal sense of what is best for you.

We are pro-active in pointing out perceptions and behaviors that may be contributing to your own suffering and sabotaging your success. We will challenge you to try new things within the session as well as in your daily life. Our goal is to help you develop the tools and skills necessary to respond to life's challenges in a healthy and empowering way.

About Amy Hermann

Amy Hermann has been providing psychotherapy and counseling services in Santa Barbara since 2006. She holds a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from Stanford University. She has experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and speaks conversational Spanish.

In addition to her work as a psychotherapist, Amy has worked as a school counselor, ESL teacher, mentor teacher, curriculum specialist, and organic farmer. She has also provided guidance to teenagers regarding pregnancy prevention, tutored students, and taught various after-school art classes at several elementary schools.

Outside of her work as a therapist, Amy enjoys nature, hiking, craftwork, photography, travel, horses, and her dogs & three cats. She enjoys photographing Native California Wildflowers and has a passion for helping others.
