At Abundant Life Christian Counseling & Consulting, LLC, we believe that counseling is ordained in the Bible as the Ministry of Reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18). Our mission is to strengthen the communities of Southwest Florida by providing Biblically-based, professional counseling services.
Our Purpose
We were founded in 2008 with the goal of helping to meet the ever-increasing mental health needs of the Southwest Florida community. We serve the communities of Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres, Estero, Bonita Springs, and Naples. In addition to serving our local community, we also minister globally, providing counseling and mediation services for ministers and missionaries all across the world.
Our Vision
A foundation without a vision is not likely to achieve its purposes. We are challenged with ministering to the diverse population of Southwest Florida as well as those serving in other parts of the world. Our strategy for reaching Southwest Florida includes partnering with churches, local law enforcement, the medical community, and other mental health organizations and community service organizations in order to make our services available to all segments of the population.
Missionary Care
A part of our mission at Abundant Life is Serving Those Who Serve Others. We believe that in order to fulfill the Great Commission we must equip missionaries to endure the rigorous challenges of missionary life. To this end, we offer the following services:
- Individual, marriage, or family counseling for missionaries currently residing in or visiting the Southwest Florida region
- Counseling via video-conferencing for missionaries unable to come to our local office
- We are available to come to your location for a pre-determined period of time for missionaries serving in other parts of the world
- On-site counseling services during mission conferences
Counseling Services
Everyone experiences challenges in life's normal stages: marriage, career choices, parenting, and aging. However, unexpected events such as divorce, illness, unemployment, untimely death, an inability to have children, or a traumatic event may also occur. There are times when families can feel overwhelmed. It is during these times that professional counseling can be helpful. We offer professional counseling based on Christian principals.

First, it can be difficult to admit there is a need. People may deny their problems or believe that they are failures. Yet, almost all of us at some time in life suffer feelings of failure or embarrassment. While we may feel inadequate, it is difficult to admit our shortcomings or seek help. Secondly, often people do not know where to turn for help or whom to trust with serious personal matters. We strive to maintain the highest ethical standards including practices of confidentiality. Thirdly, a financial burden is sometimes a deterrent to those who want help. Abundant Life Christian Counseling believes that counseling should be available to all people regardless of their socioeconomic status. For this reason, we offer several fee options.

Marriage Enrichment One of the most common mistakes made by couples who are considering marriage is believing that they inherently know how to be married. Unfortunately, we are created with a sin nature which makes it much easier to be selfish than it is to be selfless. One of the healthiest steps a couple can take is to regularly seek the wisdom of others as their relationship evolves. We recommend that every couple agree to read at least one good book on marriage each year and attend at least one good marriage seminar or retreat each year. In addition, seeking the input of a counselor can further shore up the marital relationship and help to prevent marital drift.
