In His Image Counseling Center, PLLC is a private practice grounded in a Catholic understanding of the human person. Founded in the early 1990s, our team of experienced clinicians provides evidence-based mental health treatment utilizing a holistic approach to healing and spiritual growth. We believe in the inherent dignity and value of every individual and strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment for our clients.

Our mission is to bring Christ's healing and peace to suffering hearts and minds through excellence in psychotherapy, using our expertise to guide individuals on their journey toward wholeness. We integrate the psychological with the spiritual, drawing on the teachings of St. Thomas Aquinas and the wisdom of our faith to offer meaningful and lasting change.

Our Team
Sue Baars, PhD, LPC-S, LMFT: Clinical Director - Dr. Sue Baars is a seasoned therapist with over 30 years of experience in hospital and outpatient settings. She integrates Christian anthropology with evidence-based therapies to treat a diverse range of issues.
Anna Wiebold, M.S., LPC-S: Experienced Therapist - Anna provides compassionate and insightful guidance to children, adolescents, and adults, utilizing a trauma-informed and faith-based approach.
Eleanor Moser, M.A., LPC: Supportive and compassionate therapist - Ellie empowers clients to discover their inherent dignity and rediscover their potential for healing and growth.

Disappointing Experience
Kimberly Merie shared a disappointing review of her experience with "In His Image" counseling. She initially visited the counselor at the age of 17 and had an "okay" overall experience. However, when she revisited at the age of 20, she was met with rudeness and a sense of disinterest.
Unprofessional Treatment
After missing an appointment, Kimberly was messaged by Maribel and another counselor, who seemed annoyed and dismissive of her situation. They basically told her that she didn't need to pay for the appointment and to find another counselor, as she had missed appointments multiple times in the past. Kimberly felt belittled and unhelped by this response.
Comparing Positive and Negative Experiences
Interestingly, Kimberly mentions that she is currently back in counseling and is receiving excellent care from a different counselor. She praises the new counselor's compassion and understanding. Unfortunately, this positive experience serves as a stark contrast to her negative experience with "In His Image".
