As a psychotherapist who has dedicated her career to working with men, Maxine has developed a deep understanding of the unique issues that men face, including body image concerns, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and depression. She has worked with men from a variety of backgrounds, including business, technology, marketing, finance, and law, and has developed a therapeutic approach that is tailored to the unique needs of each client.

Treatment Approach

Maxine approaches counseling eclectically, utilizing an array of therapeutic orientations and techniques to tailor treatment to the unique needs of the client. She places an emphasis on cognitive-behavioral methods, which challenge negative, irrational, or maladaptive thinking and improve mood and decrease unfavorable behaviors.

Expertise and Experience

Maxine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Marymount Manhattan College, where she graduated with high honors and was inducted into the Psi Chi National Honor Society. She then attended Columbia University, where she obtained a Master's degree in Psychological Counseling. Maxine is licensed by the New York State Education Department, Rhode Island Department of Health, and Virginia Department of Health Professions. Over the years, she has extensively worked with individuals of all ages in a variety of clinical, career, and educational settings, including Lenox Hill Hospital, New York University's Rusk Institute of Rehabilitative Medicine, Upper Manhattan Mental Health Center, The Kent Center for Human and Organizational Development, Young Adult Internship Program/Career Connections, and Brown University.
