Guiding You Through Life's Challenges
Northland Christian Counseling Center is an inter-denominational ministry designed to supplement the work of Christian churches in the Greater Grand Forks area and surrounding community. We were established by the Greater Grand Forks area Evangelical Pastors' Fellowship and are governed by a board made up of pastors, lay persons, and professionals. We are incorporated under the laws of North Dakota as a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation and depend, in part, on contributions of friends. Client fees cover only part of our expenses. If you would like to help and/or you have been helped by our services, would you consider a donation or regular contribution to this ministry? Thank you; all gifts are tax deductible.
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His atonement for the sins of all who believe in Him, in His bodily resurrection and ascension into Heaven, and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe that man was created in the image of God, and that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical, but spiritual death which is separation from God. We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ, and personally accept His substitutionary sacrifice as justification for their sin, become children of God. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, and the commitment we share to spread His Word and to minister to the needs of one another.
What We Do
We aim to provide a confidential and safe place to talk, to teach you how to communicate effectively, and to help you recognize your value and worth. The fee per counseling session is based on the rate of the individual counselor. Some congregations may offer financial help to individuals who cannot afford the full fee. Please call for additional information. Our services include Individual Adult Counseling and Individual Child Counseling, helping with various personal concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, sexual abuse, grief or loss, workplace challenges, and other personal transitions.
