Empowering individuals to live their best life

At Cameron Holliday Psychotherapy, we believe that everyone deserves a safe and supportive space to process their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. As a certified EMDR therapist, I, Cameron Holliday, work to create a non-judgmental and empowering environment where adults and adolescents can address their life challenges, goals, and fears.

Services

As a mental health professional, I have a deep understanding of the complex connections between our minds and bodies. I strive to treat the whole person, acknowledging the profound impact of stress on our physical bodies and the storage of trauma in our cellular level. My therapeutic approach combines multiple modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Brainspotting, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). These modalities enable me to target stored trauma in the body and nervous system, helping individuals integrate their experiences in a way that promotes healing and growth.

Background

Before transitioning to the field of mental health, I worked as a high school English teacher in a large public high school in New York City. During this time, I saw firsthand how social-emotional barriers and past trauma often hindered education and basic life functioning. This experience sparked my passion for supporting individuals who have been traumatized or struggling with social and emotional issues. I strive to uphold the principles of social justice in my clinical social work practice.
