She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross and her Master of Social Work (MSW) in Mental Health from Boston College School of Social Work. Ellen has been working in private practice since December 2019 and has extensive experience working with patients struggling with acute mental health issues and their families.
Ellen specializes in working with adolescents and adults dealing with mood, anxiety, thought, eating, and trauma-related issues. She is passionate about working with students, new parents, and family members of those struggling with major mental illness. Ellen provides psychotherapy with dedication and a commitment to exploring deeper emotional issues through the therapeutic alliance. She takes a client-centered approach, integrating principles that target acute symptoms with skills-based interventions while addressing underlying dynamics through insight-oriented work to promote lasting change and growth.
