Let's help you find peace and joy again.

As a licensed psychologist, I, Lea Goldstein, Ph. D., am dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges and achieve their goals. With over 25 years of experience, I have been fortunate enough to work with a diverse range of clients, from adolescents to adults, and have developed a unique approach that combines insight-oriented psychotherapy with cognitive-behavioral techniques to promote lasting change.

Services

My practice offers a comprehensive range of services, including individual adult psychotherapy, adolescent and family therapy, couples therapy, and executive coaching. Whether you are seeking to address specific challenges, work through life transitions, or simply find greater fulfillment in your personal and professional life, I am committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Individual Adult Psychotherapy

My work with adults centers around both long-term insight-oriented psychotherapy and cognitive-behavioral techniques to promote lasting change. By leveraging each person's unique strengths and addressing the complexities and difficulties each person brings, I strive to help individuals develop a greater understanding of themselves and overcome the obstacles that stand in their way.

Adolescent and Family Therapy

As a specialist in working with teens and families, my focus is on healthy adolescent development, transitions to adulthood, coping with the impact of divorce, and addressing substance abuse issues. During this pivotal time of life, my goal is to work closely with my clients to navigate the challenges of adolescence and set them on a path of growth, self-discovery, and empowerment.

Couples Therapy

I also work with couples seeking to improve their relationships, communicate more effectively, and strengthen their bond. By providing a safe and supportive environment, I help couples explore the underlying dynamics of their relationships, identify patterns and behaviors that may be causing tension, and develop strategies to resolve conflicts and build intimacy.

Executive Coaching

As an executive coach, I work with high-potential managers and executives to help them unlock their leadership potential, address areas for development, and leverage their strengths to drive success. Using a variety of assessments and feedback, I focus on helping leaders develop the skills and confidence needed to navigate the ever-changing business landscape.

Consultation and Collaboration

As a Clinical Consultant to San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services, I have had the privilege of collaborating with county personnel on strategic planning, change management, and the implementation of best practices in clinical settings. I also provide consultation and training to professional staff at Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drug Services programs.

Education and Credentials

I hold a Ph. D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, Berkeley, CA, and a B.A. in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College, Pasadena, CA. I am a California Licensed Psychologist, PSY 11428, and a member of the San Mateo County Psychological Association, Santa Clara County Psychological Association, California Psychological Association, and American Psychological Association.
