About Dr. Liz Plotkin

Our founder, Dr. Liz Plotkin, is a passionate and experienced therapist with over 20 years of experience helping children and families overcome their challenges. With a Ph. D. in Counseling Studies from Capella University and a Master's degree in Counseling from the University of Phoenix, Dr. Plotkin has honed her skills in child-centered play therapy and sandtray therapy, which allows her to tailor her approach to each child's unique needs.

Our Approach

At Crestview Child Counseling, we take a child-centered approach to therapy, which means that we prioritize the child's feelings, needs, and experiences above all else. Our approach is centered around the child's inner world, acknowledging that children have their own unique way of understanding and processing the world around them.

Our Services

Our comprehensive services include individual counseling sessions, play therapy, and sandtray therapy. Through these approaches, we help children develop effective coping strategies, learn more effective ways of expressing themselves, and develop healthy relationships with others. We also work closely with parents and caregivers to develop personalized treatment plans that address their child's specific needs.

Insurance and Payment

We are pleased to accept Aetna, Banner Aetna, Arizona Care Network, Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), and Intel Connected Care insurance plans. We also offer self-pay rates for families who do not have insurance coverage or prefer to pay out-of-pocket. Our fees and insurance rates vary by plan and are based on contracted rates with each insurance provider.
