Mental Health Counseling PLLC is a mental health service provider that offers a range of therapeutic interventions for individuals seeking to address various concerns, including mental health illnesses, emotional difficulties, and life transitions. Our experienced licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor with a gambling specialty (CASAC), and certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC) is committed to helping clients achieve their goals and live life to their optimal potential. We understand that reaching out for help can be challenging, and we strive to make the process as smooth and comfortable as possible.

Our approach to therapy is centered on the therapeutic relationship. We believe that a warm, genuine, and understanding counselor can help clients feel safe, welcomed, and non-judged. We work collaboratively with clients to establish an environment conducive to therapy and tailor our interventions to each individual's unique needs. We utilize an integrative therapeutic approach, which allows us to focus on the whole person and address their concerns and goals comprehensively.

Therapy Services

At Mental Health Counseling PLLC, we offer various therapy services, including:

• Individual Psychotherapy: Our psychotherapy sessions aim to help numerous concerns, from mental health illnesses, emotional difficulties, and adjusting to life changes. We believe that everyone can live life to their optimal potential, and we work with clients to help them achieve their goals.
• Group Therapy: While group therapy is not currently available, we recognize its value and plan to offer it in the future. Group therapy can be an effective way to build connections, learn new skills, and gain support from others who are going through similar experiences.
• OASAS Offender Driver Screening & Assessment: For residents of New York State who are charged or convicted of DWI, DWAI/Drug, DWAI/combination, we provide clinical screenings, assessments, and treatment. Our CASAC-ML certification allows us to provide specialized services for impaired driving offenders.
• Problem Gambling: Gambling disorder involves repeated problematic gambling behavior that causes significant problems or distress. We offer services for those struggling with gambling addiction and can provide specialized interventions to help clients overcome their challenges.

My Approach

At Mental Health Counseling PLLC, we believe that people can change for the better. We utilize evidence-based techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing, to help clients achieve their goals. We conceptualize individuals from a holistic perspective, taking into account their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. Our client-centered approach centers on the client's concerns and goals, and we work collaboratively with them to develop a personalized treatment plan.

About Me

Our licensed mental health counselor graduated from Hunter College, NY, in 2012 with an M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling and obtained a National Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) designation. We have over six years of experience providing mental health services and have completed postgraduate studies from Capella University in Michigan. In 2016, we received full licensure as a License Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York and obtained the NYS (OASAS) Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor - Master Level (CASAC-ML) certification. We have also completed over 60 hours of training in problem gambling and are a member of the Problem Gambling New York State Resource Center.

We have a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the City College of New York.
