As a licensed clinical psychologist, I have extensive experience in providing psychological counseling and psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families. My areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, and relationship matters. I take a cognitive behavioral approach to therapy, which focuses on helping individuals identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors that may be holding them back.

With years of experience, I've developed a unique approach to therapy that is tailored to each individual's needs. I believe in creating a collaborative and non-judgmental environment that fosters open communication and mutual understanding. My goal is to help individuals, couples, and families develop coping skills and strategies to better navigate life's challenges.

My Background

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas in 1984. I then went on to earn my Master's and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where I specialized in Child Psychology. I've also had the privilege of serving as a faculty member at various institutions, including the University of Central Florida, Rollins College, Florida Tech, and Webster University.

My Professional Experience

I've had the privilege of working in various clinical settings, including private practice, hospitals, and community organizations. I've also had the opportunity to work with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. My experience has taught me the importance of compassion, empathy, and understanding in facilitating positive change.

Publications and Presentations

I've had the privilege of publishing articles in various peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, the American Journal of Psychotherapy, and the Journal of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. I've also had the opportunity to present at numerous professional conferences, including the Annual Convention of the Southeastern Psychological Association.
