Clinical Supervision and Consulting Services

As a leader in the mental health industry, The Sutherland Center, LLC offers clinical consultation and clinical supervision services to other mental health professionals. Our experienced team, led by Dr. Alvin Sutherland, Jr., provides guidance and support to help other professionals improve their skills and effectiveness in their work with clients.

Counseling Services

Our experienced team of licensed professional counselors offers individual, couples, and family counseling services to address a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationships, and more. We take a solution-focused approach to therapy, helping our clients identify and build on their strengths to overcome their challenges.

Continuing Education and Workshops

The Sutherland Center, LLC is committed to staying at the forefront of the mental health industry, providing continuing education and workshops to help professionals stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques. Our 6-hour ethics live virtual continuing education workshop is just one example of our commitment to empowering professionals to provide the highest level of care to their clients.

Dr. Sutherland, Jr. is a National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC), a National Board Certified School Counselor (NBCSC), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and a Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH). With a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation Therapy and a Master of Education Degree in Guidance and Counseling from West Georgia College, Dr. Sutherland, Jr. has spent decades dedicated to improving the lives of those around him.

Our History

The Sutherland Center, LLC has provided in-home counseling to 13 counties in the metro Atlanta area and TeleMental Health for Georgia residents; counseling and consulting services for organizations, individuals, couples, and families since 2007. With over 700 families and counting, we have had the privilege of serving and supporting families throughout the years.
