I am Dr. Sinem Akay-Sullivan, a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, Registered Play Therapist, and certified trauma-focused therapist. I have dedicated my career to supporting children, teenagers, adults, and parents in navigating life's challenges and achieving greater well-being.

With over 15 years of experience, I have honed my skills in various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, EMDR therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I understand the importance of a personalized approach, tailoring my interventions to each client's unique needs and strengths.

What to Expect

Your journey to therapy can feel daunting, but I believe in creating a safe and comfortable space where you can openly share your concerns and explore potential solutions.

Our initial session (called intake) will be longer (75-90 minutes) to gather information and ensure a clear understanding of your needs. Subsequent sessions will be 50 minutes long, with the frequency tailored to your individual case.
