At Potentials, we believe that everyone deserves a safe and supportive environment where they can heal, grow, and thrive. Our collective practices are comprised of licensed therapists and a doctoral-level psychologist who are dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care and psycho-educational assessment services.

Our Story

Potentials was founded in 2011 by Dr. Christine Hook and Shelley Chambers, LCSW, with the vision of creating a safe and supportive environment for individuals and families. Over the years, we have grown and expanded our services to offer therapy across the lifespan. Our team of experienced clinicians has extensive training and experience in a wide variety of mental health and developmental concerns.

Therapy

Our therapists provide a safe and supportive space for individuals of all ages to explore and address their emotional, psychological, or behavioral challenges. We offer therapy services for concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Our therapists work with children, adolescents, and adults to help them develop coping strategies, build resilience, and improve their overall mental well-being.

Psycho-educational Assessments

Our psychologist, Dr. Christine Hook, provides psycho-educational assessments for children and young adults (ages 3-22) to diagnose neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, dyslexia, and autism spectrum disorders. These assessments help identify learning and behavioral patterns, inform educational planning, and provide insights for parental support and advocacy.

Co-Parenting Sessions

Our co-parenting sessions, led by Shelley Chambers, LCSW, are designed to support separated or divorced parents in creating a healthy and cooperative co-parenting environment that prioritizes the well-being of their children. These sessions help parents develop effective communication skills, manage conflict, and collaborate on parenting decisions.

Clinical Supervision

Buffy Taylor, LCSW, LCAS, CCS, provides clinical supervision for LCSW-A and LCAS-As to hone their clinical skills and prepare for licensure. Our clinical supervisor offers guidance on case conceptualization, treatment planning, and evidence-based practices.

Private Practice Consulting

Bri Kacar, MSW, provides support and guidance for clinicians in private practice, covering business development, practice management, insurance literacy, and more. Our consulting services help clinicians build sustainable practices, navigate insurance and regulatory requirements, and maintain licensure and certification.
