Our Story
At Contact Counseling Recovery Services, our mission is to provide individuals and families with the greatest level of support possible during their road to recovery from Substance Use Disorders. Our dedicated team of professionals is committed to addressing the complex needs of individuals struggling with addiction, including physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of recovery.
Our History
Our journey began in the late 1970s when Patricia Asheim founded Contact Counseling as a DUI alcohol/drug assessment agency. After Pat retired in 1999, Bob Chambers took the helm. Under his leadership, Contact Counseling continued to evolve, and in 2008, Steve Burger joined the team, bringing his expertise as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) and extensive experience in providing assessments. Steve has dedicated his career to helping individuals achieve long-term recovery, starting his own personal recovery journey in 1988 and becoming fully credentialed as a SUDP in 1990.
