Mixed Experience with Counseling Services
Initial Struggles and Limited Support
The reviewer, Hunter Greene, shared their experience with a counseling service during a difficult time in their life. Unfortunately, they didn't feel entirely supported or understood by their counselor, an intern. Despite the counselor's kind demeanor, Hunter felt that they didn't receive any unique guidance or tools that they couldn't have found online.
Lack of Follow-up and Sense of Disconnection
What's more, when Hunter stopped scheduling sessions for a few weeks, they didn't receive any follow-up emails or calls from the service. This lack of attention made them feel like they didn't matter, and they could come or go as they pleased.
Comparison to Better Health App and Positive Experience
In contrast, Hunter had a more satisfactory experience with the Better Health app, where they found an experienced counselor who checked in regularly and provided them with practical tools to manage their feelings of overwhelm.
