At Brian Shaw Psychotherapy, our mission is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate environment for individuals and couples to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. As a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist with over 22 years of experience, Brian Shaw is dedicated to helping clients of all ages and backgrounds navigate life's challenges.

Our Services

Our services include individual therapy, couples counseling, sex therapy, and life transitions therapy. We also offer specialized services for LGBTQIA+ individuals, including LGBTQIA+ individual therapy and LGBTQIA+ couples counseling. Our therapist is trained in various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). We also offer telehealth therapy sessions for those who prefer the convenience of online therapy.

About Brian Shaw

Brian Shaw is a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) and licensed independent mental health practitioner (LIMHP) in Nebraska, and a licensed independent social worker (LISW) in Iowa. He holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and has trained at the Creighton Psychiatry Clinic in Omaha. Brian has completed the Sex Therapy Training Program at the Buehler Institute and is an AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists) Certified Sex Therapist. Brian is a member of the Clinical Social Work Association (CSWA), American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT), Psychotherapy Action Network (PsiAN), Nebraska Counseling Association (ACA), and American Association of Couples and Sex Therapists (AACAST).
