At Professional Counseling Center (PCC), our mission is to provide the best possible outpatient, home-based, and family preservation services in a manner that is respectful, strength-focused, confidential, and professional at all times. With over three decades of experience, we have established a reputation for providing caring and competent counseling services to individuals, couples, and families.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of specialized services, including:
- Private Outpatient Counseling Services: We provide individual, couple, family, and group therapy, as well as psychiatric and medication evaluations and treatment, psychological evaluations and testing, and substance use counseling.
- Person-Centered-Planning: This process involves building upon the individual's capacity to engage in activities that promote community and honor their preferences, choices, and abilities.
- Family Preservation Programs: These programs are contracted with the Department of Health and Human Services and are designed to keep troubled families together.
- Psychiatric Services: Our licensed medical doctor and nurse practitioner work with both the patient and therapist to provide mental health stability.
- Licensure Supervision: We offer supervision services for Limited Licensed Counselor and Limited Licensed Social Work.
Our Philosophy
At PCC, we believe that people asking for help should not be kept waiting, and that immediate responses are needed. We also believe that help should be provided by experienced and licensed therapists, and that services should be available at convenient locations and times, including evenings and weekends.
Our History
Professional Counseling Center was established in 1985 and has been serving the Port Huron community ever since. We began with a single office suite and quickly expanded to a suite of three offices. Our commitment to providing excellent care and responding promptly to those in need has allowed us to grow and flourish over the years.
