Grace Christian Counseling

Grace Christian Counseling (GCC) is a not-for-profit organization that provides Christian counseling services to the under-served area of northeastern Missouri and west central Illinois. Our mission is to offer a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for individuals, couples, and families to address their personal, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Our Story

In 2006, our founder, Scott, and his wife, Dawn, had to attend a family court hearing because Dawn was asked to testify in a court case. While waiting for their case, they were deeply moved by the heart-wrenching stories they heard about the struggles and suffering of families in their rural community. This experience sparked a passion in Scott to make a difference and help those in need. With prayer and counsel, Scott began pursuing a 30-hour human services degree at Liberty University in 2008, positioning himself to serve and help families.

The Vision

Grace Christian Counseling is committed to providing professional, compassionate, and grace-filled counseling services. Our goal is to empower individuals and families to overcome their challenges and achieve emotional, spiritual, and personal growth. We believe that everyone deserves to experience the grace and love of God in their lives and relationships.

Services Offered

At GCC, we offer a variety of counseling services tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. These include:

• Marriage Counseling: One-on-one and group counseling available to help couples build stronger, healthier relationships.

• Family Counseling: Counseling for families and parents with children in crisis, focusing on improving communication, resolving conflicts, and strengthening family bonds.

• Addiction Counseling: Support for those struggling with addiction to alcohol, drugs, pornography, and other destructive behaviors.

• Personal Counseling: Counseling for individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, grief, relationship issues, and more.

Why Grace Christian Counseling?

The term "grace" is defined by Merriam-Webster as "unmerited divine assistance given humans for their regeneration or sanctification." At GCC, we believe that although God offers his grace freely (John 1:16), we often fail to extend grace to ourselves and others. Our desire is to help people understand and experience God's grace in their lives and relationships, and to learn to treat themselves and others with more grace.
