Hello, and thank you for taking the time to allow me to introduce myself. I am Stacie Costa, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with extensive experience and training in the areas of trauma, sexual addiction, and relationships. I am dedicated to providing compassionate and effective counseling services to individuals, couples, and families in the Oklahoma and Missouri areas.

My post-licensure education and supervision have focused on betrayal trauma, sexual addiction, and relationships. I am a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) through the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), which has provided me with access to excellent continuing education and valuable resources for my clients. I am also a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist through the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS), allowing me to provide trauma recovery services to the partners of those who struggle with sexual addiction. Additionally, I have completed the certified sexual addiction and betrayal trauma courses and supervision through Addo Recovery.

Before becoming a counselor, I had a varied career that included corporate accounting, real estate sales, therapeutic services to children and adults with various challenges, and other business endeavors. These diverse experiences have enabled me to connect with people from all walks of life and have helped me develop strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Counseling Services and Approach

At the heart of my counseling approach is a cognitive-behavioral theory, which posits that a person's beliefs influence their feelings and behaviors. Often, these beliefs are deeply ingrained, originating in childhood or from past experiences, and may not be fully recognized by the individual. I work with clients to identify and adjust these beliefs, empowering them to make positive changes that lead to more fulfilling lives.

I tailor my counseling approach to meet the unique needs of each client, incorporating various theories and techniques. I offer Christian counseling services to those who request them, integrating biblical truths and principles into the therapeutic process. I am committed to providing a safe, trustworthy, and supportive environment for all my clients, fostering growth and healing.
