Welcome to Green Bird Nature Therapy, a unique counseling service that combines traditional psychotherapy with the therapeutic qualities of nature. Our mission is to provide holistic mental health support, focusing on the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit.

Our Counselor - Jeanne Malmgren

With over 40 years of experience in the healing arts, Jeanne Malmgren is a licensed professional counselor, certified clinical trauma professional, and a nature-based therapist. She has a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of our mind, body, and spirit and believes that a calm mind and open heart are essential for living authentically. Jeanne has worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, college students, hospice patients, and domestic violence survivors.

Jeanne specializes in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, panic attacks, bipolar disorder, grief and bereavement, self-harm, and PTSD. Her extensive experience spans a wide variety of concerns, including dysfunctional family dynamics, marital/relationship strife, parenting challenges, pregnancy loss, adoption, separation/divorce, physical/emotional abuse, LGBTQ+ concerns, blended families, step-parenting, disability, job loss/unemployment, career change, elderly parent caregiving, death of parent, death of spouse, multicultural issues/diversity, and more.

Nature Therapy

At Green Bird Nature Therapy, we understand the profound healing qualities of nature. That's why we often incorporate outdoor activities and exploration into our counseling sessions. Our goal is to help you find inner peace and outer equilibrium by connecting with the natural world. Whether it's walking through a serene forest, meditating by a peaceful stream, or simply spending time in a park, nature can provide a unique and powerful therapeutic experience.
