WTCG is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization committed to ensuring that individuals and families seeking mental health treatment have access to counseling services, irrespective of their socioeconomic status and ability to pay. Established in 1971, WTCG has been serving the communities of West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico for over 50 years, providing a wide range of therapy, services, and programs to promote mental well-being and improve the quality of life for those we serve.
Providing Evidence-Based Outpatient Counseling Services
WTCG is dedicated to offering high-quality, evidence-based outpatient counseling services, tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, child, teen, couple, and family who seeks our help. Our team of highly-trained therapists is well-versed in various therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and many others. These approaches empower our clients to develop healthy coping mechanisms, improve communication skills, and cultivate stronger relationships, leading to overall mental wellness and emotional resilience.
Serving 36 Counties in Texas and 3 Counties in Southeastern New Mexico
WTCG offers services through telehealth or face-to-face sessions, making mental health care accessible to those living in rural and underserved areas. Our 12 locations across 39 counties in Texas and New Mexico allow us to reach a diverse population and extend our services to those who may not have access to mental health resources otherwise.
Highly-Trained Therapists
WTCG's team of over 80 highly-trained therapists is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to each client. Our therapists are licensed, certified, and dedicated to continuous learning and professional development, ensuring they are knowledgeable in the latest evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
Quality Services
WTCG is committed to providing quality services that are accessible, affordable, and tailored to meet the unique needs of the communities we serve. In addition to individual and group therapy, WTCG offers the following services:
1. Children's Play Therapy: Through play therapy, children learn to communicate, express feelings, modify behavior, cultivate problem-solving skills, and learn how to relate to others.
2. Zero Suicide Program: Zero Suicide provides individuals rapid access to therapy who are experiencing overwhelming depression and suicidal thoughts/ideations, self-harm, or mental health crisis hindering one's safety.
3. Veteran's Services: Veteran's Services reduces barriers within the veteran community, providing top quality, evidence-based services and resources, and assisting Veterans and families to reach their full potential.
4. Couples Therapy: WTCG therapists meet couples where they are and journey with them to define and achieve relational goals.
5. Support Groups: WTCG provides several support groups for our veterans and those who've lost loved ones to suicide.
Current Footprint
In 2021, WTCG served over 13,000 clients, conducted over 42,000 individual sessions, and employed over 80 highly-trained therapists across 39 counties. Our impact is continuously growing as we work towards our mission of enabling individuals and families to reach their full potential in body, mind, and spirit, using evidence-based counseling and educational services.
