Building stronger, healthier relationships, one family at a time.
Welcome to One Village Counseling, where we provide compassionate support to individuals and families navigating the postpartum stages and early childhood. As a licensed clinical social worker, I, Danielle Powell, specialize in attachment-focused and body-centered psychotherapy. I believe that the first several years of a child's life are crucial in shaping their social and emotional development, and as a parent, you play a significant role in creating a nurturing environment for your child to thrive.
My practice focuses on two distinct, yet often overlapping populations: young children and their social/emotional development, and parents healing from various kinds of trauma looking to build more meaningful, joyful relationships with themselves and their families. I understand that transitioning to parenthood can be challenging and scary, bringing up memories from the past and anxieties about the future. Your and your child's mental and emotional health matter, and there is support available.

Our Commitment
At One Village Counseling, we are committed to recognizing the power we have to create, sustain, and frame our lives. We believe in the healing potential of a safe and flourishing atmosphere for new parents, young children, and individuals to take the time to explore hopes and fears about pregnancy, childhood, and parenthood. Our approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each individual and family. We draw from psychodynamic, relational, and developmental theories, with an emphasis on trauma-informed care. Together, we will identify your goals, build upon you and your family's strengths, and explore the obstacles and belief systems holding you back from achieving the best life possible for you and your family.
