Meet Amy Kline

As a licensed therapist with over two decades of experience, I have had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families from all walks of life. My career has taken me from medical social work to clinical programs, grant writing, and event planning. I have worked in non-profit organizations and private practice, providing mental health services and diagnostic assessments for adults, children, and families.

Personally, I have a wide range of life experiences that have inspired and shaped my beliefs, goals, and ultimately, who I am as a therapist. I believe that everyone who sees me as a client will benefit not only from my training and professional successes but also from my painful life experiences. I make self-awareness and self-care a priority every day and focus on the importance of this in my work with clients.

Personal Note

I am the proud mother of four adult children who have taught me more than they will ever understand. After single parenting them for three years when they were very young, the five of us got our "happily ever after" fifteen years ago when I met and married my husband, Mark, a psychology professor. While I will always see my children as my greatest accomplishment, having a successful second marriage is a close second place. Now empty nesters, Mark and I are enjoying the freedom that this stage of life brings.

Reviews
Positive: The first appointment went well.
Negative: The reviewer experienced a lack of responsiveness when trying to schedule a follow-up appointment.

Mixed Experience with Scheduling

The reviewer had a positive experience during their first appointment, but encountered difficulties when trying to schedule a follow-up appointment during a difficult time in their life.

Lack of Responsiveness

The reviewer sent an email to schedule a follow-up appointment, but it went unanswered. They had to send a follow-up email to get a response, which took time. By the time they received a response, it would be nearly two weeks since the life event that prompted them to seek support, and they felt they didn't receive the support they needed. The reviewer acknowledges that emails can get lost in inboxes, but expected better responsiveness given their circumstances.
